St John’s Co-Cathedral is a unique monument of international importance. It owes its rich history and artistic heritage to the fact that for over 200 years it was the conventual church of the Order of the Knights of St John.

Monday 8th Dec 2008
Feast of the immaculate conception pontifical high mass at 9.15 Archbishop and the Met. Cathedral Chapter. Afternoon 4.30 Procession with the image of Our Lady of Caraffa.

Wed 24th December 2008. 5.00pm
Christmas eve Vespers. Mass at 5.30.

Thursday 25th December 2008. 9.15
Pontifical mass by Archbishop and the Met. Cathedral Chapter.

Wednesday 31st December 5.30
Concelebration Mass by the archbishop and the Met. Cath Chapter. Followed by “Te Deum”

1730hrs (winter) 1800hrs (summer)

Weekdays:
0730hrs / 0830hrs

Please remember that we do not charge for prayer

You may visit St John’s to pray at any time during the opening hours. Please inform the staff at the main entrance of your intention and you will be guided to the designated chapel.

Works of Art

St John’s is home to priceless works of art created by some of the greatest artists and sculptors in history, including masterpieces by one of the most famous artists of the Baroque period, Michelangelo Merisi Caravaggio.
