Conference Registration: Sacred Art Conservation as a Vehicle of Re-Evangelisation
The St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the third edition of the Malta – Pisa Conference on European Cathedrals, titled “Sacred Art Conservation as a Vehicle of Re-Evangelisation”. The conference will be held on 8th and 9th May 2025 at the Casino Maltese in Valletta, Malta, organised in collaboration with the Opera Primaziale Pisana (Pisa, Italy).
This year’s conference will examine the role of sacred art and architecture in contemporary society, focusing on how conservation efforts can revitalise the spiritual and theological messages embodied in these works. It aims to bridge the gap between modern audiences and the values they represent. The conference is open to conservators, curators, academics, and other professionals interested in the intersection of sacred art conservation and its role in re-evangelisation.
The full conference programme will be published closer to the event date. Interested participants are invited to register their attendance via the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/qmcpbdjThD9m31pq5
